What It's All About

Bigbite director Tona Williams

I love to create. I love all things visual. And I love to balance multiple types of projects that keep my routine changing.

Bigbite Productions is a platform for multimedia and new media work, where I can do what I do best: all of these things at once! Because Bigbite is small, it's extremely flexible. And if your project needs a larger creative team, I selectively bring in experts from my network of collaborators. That way your project has just as many people involved as need to be.

So what makes my approach unique?

I work with a group of gifted actors, writers and comedians, and call on them all the time for Bigbite projects. Among these folks are Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda of Blame Society Productions - creators of the Chad Vader series and many other comedy shorts. I'm their primary cinematographer and graphic/web designer and we share many co-collaborators. Learn more about them here

I am a trained sociological ethnographer. Before I began to make films and web sites, I spent a lot of time interviewing people and conducting research projects. That was fun, but eventually I decided to apply those skills in an even more visual way. My experience in this field continues to serve me especially well in the documentary work that I do. My published works as a sociologist include explorations of the education system and analyses of how organizations work. For instance, in 2003 I co-authored the book, 'Transforming Teaching in Mathematics and Science: How Schools and Districts Can Support Change.' Essentially what all this means is that I'm used to going in to a place and looking deeply, and the processes of editing complex documentary footage and writing a book are not all that different.

While I'm flexible as an artist and will work to interpret your vision, I also have my own signature style. If you like what you see on this site, then we'll probably fit well together.
